Gifty Tags: Quick & Cute Gift Card Holders and Ornaments for Your Holiday Tree

Sunday, August 6th, 2017

Last year I had SO much fun whipping up these adorable Gifty Tags that I need to get busy and have a new slew of finished tags and card holders on hand:

Using mere scraps of leftover fabric, some thread, some Stiff Stuff and some buttons, I created colorful ornaments and gift card holders using the Lazy Girl Designs Gifty Card Holder sewing pattern, ON SALE NOW at SewThankful, click here to order yours.¬† You could use this style as a package gift tag as well. And the recipient of the gift can recycle it for future giving…it’s like a 2fer.

NOTE:  Stiff Stuff is currently sold out and unavailable from the manufacturer.  They expect to have it available again in mid-late October this year (2017).  I suggest substituting Soft & Stable until Stiff Stuff becomes available again.

A few words about Stiff Stuff Interfacing by Sew Lazy

Wednesday, August 2nd, 2017

In short:¬† I LOVE IT!¬† It’s a firm, yet flexible sew-in dense interfacing.¬† It is NOT a fusible interfacing. It’s similar to Peltex or Timtex, Stiff Stuff but is softer and I feel it’s easier to work with.

Stiff Stuff performs beautifully in all my bag, wallet, wall hanging and place mat projects and I’ve never been disappointed when I use Stiff Stuff.

That said… The dreaded thing has happened that almost always seems to happen at some point or other whenever I find a product I absolutely love.¬† It’s out-of-stock — even with the manufacturer and our suppliers. We’ve been told by the manufacturer that it’s expected to begin shipping again in mid to late October this year (2017).

Until Stiff Stuff is back in stock, I highly recommend substituting Soft & Stable for patterns that call for Stiff Stuff. Soft & Stable is also very easy to work with and holds a beautiful shape. Give it a try, I bet you’ll love it too.
