Up, up and away…Albuquerque Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2010

The balloons are back in town for the annual Albuquerque International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta.  I wasn’t able to make it down to the launch field this year, but I was able to snap some pics from various locations in and around Albuquerque.

The balloons are soooo pretty and such a joy to watch.  For even more great pics from the launch field, check out the photo galleries on the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta website.

Thank you so much for posting the balloon fiesta pictures. We moved last year from Albuquerque, NM to Tennessee and I have been so homesick for the green chile, sopapillas and the balloons and these pictures made me SMILE:)
    Thank you,

Tracy, We drove 16 hours to the balloon fiesta this year from NE. One more thing from our bucket list! We had a great time and enjoyed the balloons. Also rode the tram to Sandia Peak. Beautiful city, great vacation – now back to work.

Such beautiful pictures! I’ll be in Rio Rancho the week of the 18th, do you have any ‘must see’ suggestions for while I’m there?
