Wild, windy New Mexico weather

This picture was not taken for it’s ‘beauty’. It’s really more of a wild, windy weather shot. I took it at approximately 5:30PM on 3/4/11 facing toward the west.

Light Orange Glow on the mesa

A light orange glow on the mesa...nearing sunset...winds are howling!

The orange glow is from the sun reflecting off all the dust and dirt blowing around the mesa. The air was thoroughly saturated with pollen.

If you look closely, you can see waves of gusting dirt . The bushy looking objects in the background are mostly juniper (supplier of the cruel pollen). Yes, I am sensitive to juniper pollen. Can you hear me sneezing?
