Clover Flower Yo-Yo Maker FREE how-to YouTube Video
Saturday, August 2nd, 2008The video is ready! I experienced a LOT of frustration with the first flower yo-yos I made using the Clover Flower Quick Yo-Yo Makers.
The included instructions were not very intuitive or easy–I felt. Once I figured out how to make them look pretty Jeff and I put together a video showing how I make mine. My way is not necessarily the *right* way or even the *best* way…it’s just the way I do it and I like my results. If you have a way that works better for you, please feel free to share your tips.
NOTE #1: YouTube limits video length to 10 minutes. That wasn’t enough time to show all the steps, so there are two clips below (scroll down, they are listed one on top of the other).
NOTE #2: You will notice my watch shows the time at about 6:00 on these clips. That’s 6:00AM…yes, in the morning. We started this set at about 5:45AM. We film very early to take advantage of the best quiet and least distraction. BUT, it’s still 6:00AM…wincing grin…it’s an interesting exercise in trying to engage brain and voice that early in the morning.
The tweezers I use in this video are Bohin Long Handle Tweezers, available at SewThankful. You can find the Clover Quick Yo-Yo Makers (in flower, heart and circle shapes) at SewThankful too.
