Congratulations to all the winners!!! I was very excited to see so many names I recognize (too many to list them all here). Two names I was especially happy to see were Karen Eckmeier (aka the Quilted Lizard) and Gloria Hansen (author of Digital Essentials book and much more!).
Karen won 2nd place in the Innovative Pieced category sponsored by Omnigrid for her quilt, My Stash At 50 (aka Log Cabin with an Attitude).
You can find this quilt on page 35 of Karen’s Layered Waves book. You may also see more of Karen’s patterns and books available at SewThankful.
Gloria won 3rd place for Circles Collide and Honorable Mention for Whitley Decay in the Digital Imagery category sponsored by C & T Publishing. If you’re interested in learning more about digital imagery in quilts, you’ll want to make sure you check out her Digital Essentials book.
I admit it, I love, love, LOVE Shiva Paintstiks. I mean, what’s not to love about color and texture on fabric? The options are virtually endless! And the new Bosa Nova Bag pattern samples were exquisite!
Here are a few pics for you to enjoy from the Cedar Canyon Textiles Booth at Houston Quilt Market 2008. Click images to open a larger picture in a pop-up window.
Here’s Shelly in the booth showing us how it’s done.
Here are some of the stunning Bosa Nova Bag samples all stitched up and pretty!
